Currently, we anticipate high winds/rains and a possibility of significant flooding throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. RSOC encourages you to monitor weather conditions and properly prepare for the impact that Hurricane Florence could bring to our area. We will prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Please find a few tips included below to assist in the preparation process. In case of life-threatening situations, call 911.

Hurricane Preparedness Tips from RSOC

Be Prepared – Be Safe

1). Have enough water on hand for at least three days per person and canned or dry goods that can be consumed without heating or cooling. Take note of special infant needs, such as formula diapers.

2). Remember to consider your pet’s needs in terms of water and food supplies and be sure to have working flashlights and extra batteries.
3). Have your important papers, medication sand contact information with you and stored in a waterproof container incase you need to evacuate quickly.
4). Keep your credit cards with you, your bank ATM card and have some cash on hand in case of extended local power outages.
5). Make sure you know your passwords for our e-service and mobile servicing platforms.
As the potential for significant flooding predicted for our areas, please check to ensure any storm drains in your area are clear from debris so that water can flow properly in to them and potentially help avoid some flooding.
